Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using MadWords (the "Service"). By accessing or using MadWords, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
Modification of Terms: We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of MadWords after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or prominent notice on the platform.
1. Eligibility
By using MadWords, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement. If you are accessing the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization.
2. Account Registration
To use MadWords, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3. License to Use
MadWords grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal or business use in accordance with these Terms. You may not use MadWords for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
4. Auto Renewal Subscription
All MadWords subscription plans are processed through Stripe and will automatically renew on either a monthly or yearly basis, depending on the plan selected at the time of purchase. Prior to each renewal, Stripe will issue an email notification to the email address on file.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your MadWords account and navigating to Account > Billing, by submitting a cancellation request to support@madwords.ai, or by following the cancellation link provided in renewal notification emails from Stripe. Cancellations will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and no further charges will be incurred.
Unused words remain in your account and carry over between billing periods for as long as your subscription is active. There is no monthly reset. If you cancel, unused words remain available through the end of your current paid period and expire when the subscription ends. Additional words purchased as top-ups are subject to the same terms.
MadWords reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or discontinue subscription plans, features, or services; adjust pricing; or terminate any subscription at any time, with or without prior notice. In the event of material changes to pricing or plan structure, reasonable efforts will be made to notify you in advance.
5. Refunds
All subscription plans are eligible for a 30 day money back guarantee on the initial charge, covering unused words only. Words that have already been used are non refundable. Subsequent charges for renewal periods, and payments for additional words, are non refundable.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to support@madwords.ai within the applicable 30 day period.
6. No Edit Guarantee
The No Edit Guarantee applies to content generated or translated through MadWords by customers on a paid plan or an active free trial.
If generated content contains a factual error, an unsupported claim, a fabricated quote or source, clumsy or broken language, a translation that misses the meaning, incorrect currency, measurement or date formatting for the targeted country, a product included or excluded contrary to your project settings, or an article type other than the one selected, you may report it to support@madwords.ai or through the in-app chat.
Reports should identify the project and, where the article has been published, the URL. Where the article has not been published, the full article text should be supplied.
Remedy
On receipt of a valid report we will credit your account with words equal to the length of the affected article. We will also attempt to correct the underlying issue within three business days of receipt.
Credits are issued in words, carry no cash value, are not transferable, and are not redeemable for a refund. The guarantee is limited to one credit per keyword, per account.
Limitations
Certain issues arise from limitations in the underlying language models, from inaccurate source material published elsewhere on the web, or from a scarcity of reliable source material on a given subject. These fall outside our ability to correct, and in those cases the credit remedy above applies.
Your responsibility for published content
The No Edit Guarantee describes the standard we hold our output to and the remedy available when it falls short. It does not transfer responsibility for published content to MadWords.
You remain solely responsible for reviewing content before publication and for verifying the accuracy of any factual claim, statistic, quotation, product detail, price, or attribution it contains. We recommend you read every article before it goes live. This is particularly important for content concerning health, finance, legal matters, safety, or any subject where inaccuracy could cause harm.
Nothing in this section limits or varies the disclaimers and limitations of liability set out elsewhere in these Terms, which continue to apply in full to all content generated through the Service.
Changes to this guarantee
MadWords reserves the right to modify or discontinue the No Edit Guarantee. Where we do so, existing subscribers will be notified by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect, allowing cancellation before the next renewal charge. Changes apply prospectively and do not affect reports already submitted.

You are legally responsible for all text and images you create using MadWords.
15. Technology & Third-Party Services
MadWords uses advanced AI language models to generate content. While we engineer prompts and add proprietary features, the underlying language models are provided by third-party AI providers.
We make no warranties about the availability or performance of third-party AI services. Service interruptions due to third-party provider outages are excluded from our SLA.
By using MadWords, you agree to comply with our Acceptable Use Policy and the acceptable use policies of our AI providers.
AI Disclosure: MadMan, the in-app assistant available within the MadWords dashboard, is an AI-powered chatbot. MadMan is not a human. Use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, store, and use data.

In addition, MadWords reserves the right to immediately terminate your account, revoke access to all services, and permanently block you from creating future accounts or using MadWords in any capacity.
Fraudulent chargebacks — including disputes filed after voluntarily using the Service during the billing period in question — may be reported to the appropriate fraud prevention agencies and pursued through all available legal remedies.
19. Service Availability & Uptime SLA
MadWords guarantees 99.99% uptime for all paid plans.
Uptime Calculation
- Measured monthly as percentage of time MadWords platform is available
- Monitored via automated systems checking core application functionality
What's EXCLUDED from SLA (not counted as downtime):
- Scheduled Maintenance — Announced 48+ hours in advance
- Third-Party Service Failures — LLM APIs or SERP providers
- Network and User-Side Issues — Your internet, device, or browser problems
- Beta/Preview Features — Features marked as experimental or in testing
Compensation
If MadWords fails to meet the 99.99% uptime guarantee in any calendar month, you'll receive free bonus words equal to the downtime percentage applied to your monthly word allocation.
Formula: Free Words = Your Monthly Word Allocation × (Guaranteed Uptime % - Actual Uptime %)
Example 1: Core Plan (50,000 words/month)
Guaranteed uptime: 99.99% | Actual uptime: 99.00% | Downtime: roughly 7 hours in the month
Free words: 50,000 × 0.99% = 495 bonus words
Example 2: Pro Plan (150,000 words/month)
Guaranteed uptime: 99.99% | Actual uptime: 99.00% | Downtime: roughly 7 hours in the month
Free words: 150,000 × 0.99% = 1,485 bonus words
Example 3: Elite Plan (300,000 words/month)
Guaranteed uptime: 99.99% | Actual uptime: 99.00% | Downtime: roughly 7 hours in the month
Free words: 300,000 × 0.99% = 2,970 bonus words
How Bonus Words Work
- Contact support to receive your credit
- Available for immediate use
- Can be used beyond your monthly allocation
- Unused bonus words roll over
How to Claim
- Contact support@madwords.ai within 30 days
- Provide date/time of experienced downtime

Maximum Compensation
Total bonus words in any 12-month period cannot exceed 100% of your plan's annual word allocation. This is your exclusive remedy for service availability issues.
20. Export Compliance & International Use
You may not access or use MadWords if you are located in a jurisdiction subject to U.S. or EU trade restrictions, sanctions, or embargoes. You agree to comply with all applicable export control laws when using the Service.
21. Search Engine and AI Platform Guidelines
MadWords is built to follow the published content guidelines of Google and other search and AI platforms as we understand them at the time of writing. Those guidelines change without notice, are not exhaustively documented, and are interpreted differently across the industry. We make no representation that we are aware of, or compliant with, every rule, policy, or ranking signal operated by any search engine or AI platform.
We are not liable for:
- Whether any article ranks at all, or the position at which it ranks
- Search rankings, traffic, impressions, or visibility for any site that publishes content generated through MadWords
- Any change in rankings or traffic following an algorithm, policy, or core update
- Whether AI engines cite, surface, summarize, or reproduce your content
- The content, accuracy, availability, security, or conduct of any third-party site linked from a MadWords article
- Any penalty, manual action, demotion, or removal from an index applied to your site
You are responsible for reviewing outbound links before publication and for ensuring that your site and its content comply with the guidelines of every platform you rely on for traffic.
If you identify a better approach to guideline compliance than the one we currently use, we want to hear it. Send it to support@madwords.ai and we will evaluate it for inclusion in the platform.
22. Disclaimer of Liability
You are solely responsible for how you use content generated by MadWords. We are not liable for:
- Search engine penalties or ranking losses
- Legal issues arising from your content
- Violations of third-party terms of service

MadWords does not provide professional advice of any kind. Generated content should not be relied upon as medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy and appropriateness of any content you publish or act upon.
23. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MadWords shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, search rankings, or business opportunities, arising out of your use of the Service, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not MadWords has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of MadWords to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you actually paid to MadWords in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
This cap applies in aggregate to all claims and remedies of every kind, including refunds, word credits issued under the No Edit Guarantee, bonus words issued under the Uptime SLA, and any claim arising from factual inaccuracy, editorial quality, translation quality, or any other characteristic of generated content. The combined value of all remedies provided to you shall not exceed that amount.
Where you have paid nothing to MadWords, including use of a free trial, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed one hundred United States dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above may not apply to you in full. In those cases our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by applicable law.
You are legally responsible for all text and images you create using MadWords.
24. Disclaimer of Warranties
MadWords is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error free, secure, or that generated content will meet your expectations.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MadWords, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
26. Termination
MadWords may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
27. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Miami, Florida USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
28. Arbitration and Dispute Resolution
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of MadWords shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) or a similar recognized arbitration body, in accordance with its rules and procedures. The arbitration shall take place in Miami, Florida USA, and the arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
By agreeing to arbitration, you waive your right to bring a lawsuit in court (except for matters that may be taken to small claims court) or to have a jury trial.
29. Class Action Waiver
You agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be limited to the dispute between you and MadWords individually. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no arbitration or proceeding shall be joined with any other, and you waive any right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding against MadWords.
30. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision shall be replaced with a valid and enforceable provision that most closely reflects the original intent.
31. Changes to Terms
