Compare MadWords unedited articles to Koala.
We added up what both articles cost on the cheapest monthly plan each company sells. Koala bills by the word, so we priced the same 3,295 words on both sides, the total length of the two MadWords articles above. Both companies offer bigger plans and yearly discounts.
In March 2024 Google added scaled content to its spam policies. Scaled content is mass-produced articles that all share the same pattern — one prompt, one model’s training data, an SEO or GEO score, keyword stuffing, or settings like tone applied to every article. Keyword stuffing is also its own separate violation. Sites that break these policies lose rankings or get removed from search entirely.
| Koala AI | MadWords | |
|---|---|---|
| Article structure | One prompt generates every article. | 14.5 million article variations. |
| Settings | Sixteen settings applied to every article in a project: introduction, conclusion, FAQ section, key takeaways, no H3, paragraph length, section length, reading level, tone, bold, italics, tables, lists. Set once and every article comes out the same shape. One of the settings is “avoid AI patterns.” | No tone, no reading level, no structure settings, no SEO score, no GEO score. |
| Templates | Their API lets you define a template so every article follows the same format and styling. | No templates. Every article is built from its own research. |
Google’s quality rater guidelines treat content that misrepresents who made it as deceptive, and they are hardest on health, money, legal and safety topics. Google issues manual actions and removes sites from search. The FTC’s rule on consumer reviews and testimonials, effective October 2024, prohibits testimonials that misrepresent the experience of the person giving them.
A setting, on by default, that writes first-person claims about things the AI never did.
Koala’s own words: “as if it actually used the product, visited the place, or did the work.”
Our goal is content people love. Faking experience and taking on legal exposure isn’t how you get there.
For real experience signals, publish a human written article or two for every ten. Then the byline is true.
Monthly plans: words expire every month.
Yearly plans: words expire at the end of the year.
Words never expire.
Unused words roll over for as long as your subscription is active.
Koala has no keyword research.
Enter your competitor’s domain and all their keywords are yours. Enter your domain and every keyword is deduped. With a few more clicks MadWords writes articles on all of them.
Before creating MadWords we tried Koala. They offer a template through their API that when used correctly creates scaled content. The content needed extensive editing.
We set up the API, it worked until we paused the account. We reactivated and Koala stopped posting content to our WordPress sites. Koala took 3–5 days to reply each time. Refused to fix the problem. Refused to credit our account, they told us they couldn’t afford to. We canceled and created MadWords.
Articles and price are settled. Here’s everything else.

Cover more than the competition and you own topical authority. Sites with real depth can rank on fewer links, because Google trusts the source.
Enter a competitor’s domain and take their whole keyword list. Enter yours to drop what you’ve already written. A few clicks later MadWords is writing every article that’s left, up to 100,000 in one project.
A shopper in Mexico City and one in Madrid both speak Spanish, but they don’t search the same. One types “computadora,” the other “ordenador.” Translation doesn’t solve it, localization does.
MadWords localizes — 119 languages across 74 country variants, matching the words each country uses, down to swapping kilometers for miles.
Select your WordPress category, every article is localized for the target market, and published at its own URL with the hreflang tags Google wants.
Google likes quality AI content. What it doesn’t like is scaled content — mass-produced articles that all share one structure.
Most AI tools generate every article from the same prompt, so every article comes out the same shape. That’s the pattern that gets sites penalized.
Every MadWords article is drawn from 14.5 million automatic variations, so no two are built the same way. We publish MadWords articles on our own sites — we have as much to lose from scaled content as you do.
Reviews are just starting. MadWords ran our own sites for a year before it went on sale in August 2026.
